We got two of them at a black Friday sale and saved them for Christmas. The remote uses a 9V battery and the car uses four AA batteries. Pros: They have quite a bit of power and they move fast (too fast for the small rooms in our house.) They work great outside, even on rough ground. The remote has a forward button, making it easier to drive it straight. The batteries slide out of the car in a tray, making them much easier to replace. You can do pretty cool spinning moves. Cons The first one broke within an hour. One of the big wheels fell off. We tried to re-attach it with super glue but it didn't last long. The second one broke a few days later. The gears stripped so only one wheel would work. A new set of AA batteries last about half an hour. For sure get reachargables. Watch out for bare feet! The treads on the wheels bite. One of the car's power switch is very hard to turn on. I feel like I'm going to break it every time I switch it. Our kids did play a little rough with them, but a reasonable car should last longer than a few days. I plan to try to take them apart and just make one car that works and see how long it will last. It and it's remote have been dropped and tumbled down a flight of hardwood steps. The kids LOVE this thing. It spins on a dime. I'm surfing AMAZON right now to find a second one for my daughter and was confounded by the bad reviews. I think it's a steal! They've had this thing running non-stop for nearly 2 days and haven't replaced any batteries. We have a keep-electronic-toys-inside rule so I can't speak to it's durability outdoors, but the kids have made off-road tracks with blocks etc and it handles great. We also have 2 big black labs that shed and the wheels haven't jammed up with fur. Other than a 12V Ride on truck he got earlier this year, this is hands down the most excited I have ever seen him over a new toy. His younger brother (2) loved it so much as well, we had to run out and buy another one. LOVE LOVE LOVE It. It moves fast, does crazy spin moves. It's tough for them to fine tune their driving with the remotes, but they are basically toddlers, so that is to be expected. The tires have some crazy good grip on them making it easy to drive on any surface but it does hurt if it runs over your bare feet. Batteries die pretty fast so get rechargeables! By Environmentally Conscious Bargain Shopper on March 16, 2014 I have owned two of these thunder tumblers as the first one broke after only a few hours, and the second one which I have purchased to replace it has issues with its remote control signal. The item is not just a remote control car, but when it loses its balance from accelerating rapidly, it slides back onto the top/rear wheel and it can spin and do wheelies to the screams of joy of surrounding toddlers. My toddler LOVES this item when it works, however, the replacement car we bought after parts started coming off the first one has signal problems. It cannot go more than a few feet from the remote control and seems to pick up lots of interference. We live in a city in an apartment building, and most likely there is other RF noise around, but comparing this to other remote control devices we use in our apartment this one seems particularly susceptible to signal noise and interference, even more so than the first thunder tumbler we had. Honestly this would be a cool concept and so much more fun, to the point that I'd rate it five stars if only it had better QA and build quality. Operation requires 4 AA 1.5V alkaline Batteries (Not included) for car and one 9V Battery (Not included) for remote control. Придется 4 батареи спаивать
Серега, если не ошибаюсь эта игрушка бывает в "5 карманах". Тот что на правде к примеру. Так вот можно будет пойти туда и посмотреть на внутренности батарейного отсека.
да уже и так по видео ролику понятно, там контейнер должен быть для батареек, а его кто-то профукал...
